“(S)he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalm 91 v 1)
Our Father always works for our good.
Why else do you think He sent Jesus to us?
What other purpose does the Holy Spirit serve?
The Trinity deserve our trust, it is a must.
May we be attentive to the Spirit’s promptings,
For He works to draw us closer to Jesus to delight our Father.
This is done in all circumstances,
But most notably in the Holy Eucharist,
This Sacramental Mystery of God come to us.
“I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust’.” (Psalm 91 v 2)
Come in the most unlikely way of bread and wine,
Transubstantiated by the life offering Spirit,
Into the body and blood of Jesus, to spiritually,
Most powerfully nourish and purify us.
The Spirit strives to make us faithful servants
Of the Lord Jesus, who is God’s Word and promise.
We need to learn to put Jesus in charge of everything,
Then shine the light of Jesus’ love
Over all peoples, places and situations.
“Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.” (Philippians 4 v 5)
Whilst explaining and enlightening others to
The meaning and purpose of God’s grace,
As freely gifted in the Person of Jesus,
We promote Jesus as Lord, offering Himself to our Father
In reparation of our sinfulness,
And preparation for us to live sharing His holiness.
This holiness is the conversion of our own holiness,
All being the wish, will and plan given from heaven,
For our ever loving Father wants peace between heaven and us.
“I drew them with gentle cords, with hands of love, and I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. I stooped and fed them.” (Hosea 11 v 4)
So much so, God spared the life of His beloved Son,
Allowing His death to become the perfect sacrifice,
Which paid the highest price for our sinfulness.
Thus we are re-established in our hope of heaven,
And no longer fear a final eternal separation.
Our Father of mercy loves us completely,
Cares for us fully, watching over us protectively daily, all praise ever be!
“Five sparrows are sold for next to nothing, aren’t they? And yet not one of them is forgotten before
God. He even knows the number of hairs you have on your head. So there is nothing to fear, for you are far more valuable than many sparrows.” (Luke 12 v 7 The Truth)
“Search me, O God, and know my heart, try me and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139 v 23, 24)
Dearest Father, ever merciful towards us, it is only by living with the Lord Jesus as my Saviour and Mentor, I dare to say “Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity within
me.” (Psalm 7 v 8)
The magnitude of this claim enables me to realise what a graced honour, what a privilege of the highest order it is to know the Lord Jesus died for me. Your love is amazing.
It is the Lord Jesus at work by the Holy Spirit, who together gift us that wisdom which leads to understanding and really appreciating and valuing who You are and all You do to protect us.
“Happy is the (wo)man who finds wisdom” (Proverbs 13 v 13) because the Holy Spirit teaches us to look in the right direction towards the forgiveness found at the † of the Lord Jesus. “Happy is the (wo)man...
who gains understanding.” (Cont)
“Let not mercy and truth forsake me,” (Proverbs 3 v 3) but ever be uppermost on my mind and pertinent to my feelings controlling my actions and re-actions.
I need the help of the Lord Jesus and the sanctifying Spirit to fully respect and reverence You by obedience, Father God, so as to put anything that is not right in Your eyes, far, far away from me.
Sometimes I feel satan’s iron grip like a stranglehold upon me. Please, please continue to rescue me, my Saviour Brother redeeming me and sending the Holy Spirit to enhance my faith.
I am so very grateful for the gift of faith, and wish to pursue a life led in the Holy Spirit, whereby His gifts of wisdom, counsel, understanding and knowledge shape my life, led to delight and honour You as a Trinity.
The gift of piety and reverent obedience are the result of honouring You as the Father of mercy, sending us Your Son as the Divine Healer. May I never take my eyes off this glorious image.
One of my favourite Scriptures says: “You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head,” (Psalm 3 v 3) expectantly, for I hope for Your mercy to re-establish me as Your much loved child, my protection against satan.
“Blessed be God...Blessed be Jesus Christ, the God and the Man... Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the
Paraclete.” (The Divine Praises) Blessed be us, Your family, those who name and claim the Lord Jesus as Saviour, being a redeemed son or daughter.
O Lord, let us strive after holiness, alert to all the promptings of the Spirit, never ignoring nor despising chastening, but seeing this as a cleansing process which is necessary to move us out of our sinful state.
Thank You for sending us Your beloved Son to live, die and be resurrected again for us. Oh the delight of having a living hope, of knowing our Brother is the forever Saviour.
This is the highest joy, fullest peace and true delight in life as we offer You ourselves given in service to the Master, hoping to be united with His Sacred Heart, claiming His infinite merits as shared with us.
What mercy You show us in the reparation of our sinfulness, enabling us to ask for the grace to fulfil Your will to the very best of our ability. In this way You prosper society, thank You.
I ask that Your Spirit prompts me to pray more readily, more regularly, so I can better show my appreciation for Your love, but also my full trust and dependency upon this. I am sorry when hours pass and I have not even thought about You.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one love, one in unity, You make us rich in love, thank You. Life was rather meaningless and empty until I found myself in Your presence, as a response to praying and asking for a
better understanding of You. And still You grant this!
Day by day I should count Your blessings upon me and my family, all You do to provide for us and protect us. Please continue to do this, especially at the moment, when we are all so fearful of the current worldwide Pandemic.
Are You shaking the world out of its complacency with regards to a seeming self-sufficiency, which has caused the world at large to try to live without You, ever to deny Your existence? What an affront. I am so sorry.
For in reality Your love is from everlasting and You have betrothed us to You in faithfulness. May many, many more become wise as to this and so acknowledge You and the grace of gifting us a Saviour Brother with the life building Sprit, utterly changing life for us.
It is because of the enormity of Your mercy, life here can be happy. We become truly happy when we seek to live sharing the holiness of the Lord Jesus, knowing Your compassion never fails us.
“I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart” hoping to do so daily. “I will tell of all Your marvellous works” although they cannot be numbered. “I will be glad and rejoice in You,” as a Trinity. “I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High,” (Psalm 9 v 1, 2) dearest Father, ‘Abba’.
I rejoice in our salvation. I delight in the friendship of Jesus, my Saviour and Redeemer. I am thrilled to receive of Your Spirit, my Purifier and Sanctifier. As a Trinity, You meet me with the blessings of goodness.
“I will praise You forever for what You have done; in Your name I will hope, for Your name is good” (Psalm 52 v 9 NIV) It signifies love and mercy. Thank You for gifting us new birth into the living hope of the Lord Jesus. May we live to ever delight and honour You, Father God. Amen.
